I’m Going to the Phish Concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Atlanta Georgia, What Can I Expect?

Question by : I’m going to the Phish Concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Atlanta Georgia, what can i expect?
Is this going to be a chill concert? One time while attending this venue I was detained for underage drinking so how is security going to react to the drug use that will most likely occur. Also does anyone know how it will last? Any other information would be great.

Basically, there have been crazy amounts of undercover cops on Phish lot this year. With that said, I’ve only seen a few people arrested this year, and those have been people selling nitrous, or in possession of a pound or more of pot in addition to other substances.

And the drug use that will “most likely” occur?! It will most definitely occur.

Basically, just keep to yourself, avoid anyone you see on lot who’s got on earpiece and a walky-talky, don’t bring enough drugs with you to get felony possession…because if you just have a little bit, most of the people who ran into cops I’ve seen this year have just been told to put out the jay or they have their bowl confiscated.

So long as you’re not doing anything completely ridiculously stupid, and aren’t spun out and making a scene (being spun out but not making a scene is acceptable) you’ll be fine.

I’ll be hitting up those shows as well, and I’ve not been arrested in 35+ Phish shows, so really I think you’ll be all right. The scene is chill, and people who aren’t chill are the ones who the cops go after anyway, so don’t worry about it.

Oh, as far as how long the show is: They’ll go on anywhere between 7:30 and 8:00 then play about an hour and a half. Then, they’ll take a 30-45 minute break between sets and come back with the second set and play until 11 or 11:30. I think that the start time is supposed to be 7:30 for the Georgia shows, so they probably have an 11-11:30 curfew thing going on.
