Divorce/Custody battle.Mom took baby out of State 1000 miles from Dad who was the Primary caregiver for first 8 mths of life,then no contact for 4 mths.Guardian Ad Litem appointed.20 day visitation period with Dad.Family Couselor advised Pediatrician to look for possible signs of Asperger’s,Pediatrician refers to Pediatric Psychologst due to possible Asperger’s symptoms.Mom posted online of having hallucinations,depression,suicidal thoughts.Counselor wrote in report believes DCFS should get involved.Dad was arrested for Disorderly Conduct for altercation with neighbor the night wife took off with baby but has affadavits from 10 neighbors that Dad cared for the baby since birth,walking baby outside multiple times daily,no history of family violence,however mommy filed Ex Parte claiming drug,alcohol abuse,prostitution,rape and physical threats,ex parte dismissed,then mommy agrees dad to have child for 20 days.
Does the Gaurdian ad Litem have an obligation to get the DCFS in mommies state involved based on written recomendation from Certified Family Counselor that also recomends Psyche Evaluation.Should a Motion for Emergency Return of Custody to the father be entered?How should an Attorney representing the child proceed?
CASA told me they can not intervene without being appointed to the case by the Judge and recomended me to go to DCFS,DCFS told me due to the Temp Court Order that gave my wife Temp Custody of the Child they consider him a resident of CT and can not get involved and that I have to notify the DCFS in the State that the Mother resides in.I took him back to her yesterday via airplane.I am wondering if the Guardian Ad Litem has a responsbility to notify DCFS about this case in the State she resides,or what his course of actions may be

It may take a while, but I would CONTACT CASA, (court appointed state advocate). That is, if they are not already involved. Most Judges will seriously consider a CASA’s recommendations.
