Question by Not worth it: If you run your car into a tree in your own yard should you have to report it?
In many states when you run your car into a tree ( or the like) on your own property it must be reported or its a felony ( Georgia is one state for example). Is this abuse from the state?

Should you have to report damage to your vehicle on your own property to the police?

Doing so may involve you being arrested and going to Jail! Drug testing and Alcohol testing even if you never drove off your property.
