Dependency- Canon 5D/550D Short Film

Dependency- Canon 5D/550D Short Film – I directed and produced this short film with a group of two other people for a University project- I didn’t do the cinematography or editing/colour correcting for this video. This short film was shot using a Canon 550D and a Canon 5D. However, this is not the original soundtrack. The original piece used is ‘Boy 1904’ by Jonsi & Alex. Although I have had to use royalty free music which isn’t as effective as the original piece. As well as this, this version is not the raw file so it lacks the quality of the original, it may appear slightly grainy. I made this video for a University project, it is an experimental film as it contains no/little linear narrative. The film contains more symbolism than a narrative; the man in this short film is a metaphor for a drug for the woman; they depend on eachother like a hunger. The red ribbons you see in the film represent her addiction and dependency. Edited in Final Cut Pro, colour graded in After Effects although as previously stated, the quality isn’t nearly as good as the original file. Equipment used: -Canon 5D mark ii -Canon 550D -Flycam nano -Canon 24-70mm 2.8 -Contax Yashica 50mm 1.4 -Sigma 24mm 2.8 -Contax Vario Sonnar 80-200mm 4 -Canon 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 Director- Georgia Benjamin Editor- Gemma Bourne Cinematographer- Antony Kwok Hope you enjoy the video, would love feedback!
