Please Help!!, My Cousin’s Fiance Just Had Her Baby a Week Ago. She Told Me That My Cousin Has Been…?

Question by Diamonds_4Ever: Please help!!, my cousin’s fiance just had her baby a week ago. She told me that my cousin has been…?
He has been using cocaine everyday since the baby was born. She moved to with him about a year ago and is hundreds and hundreds of miles away from her family (they now live in Atlanta) and doesn’t know anybody where they live. My cousin is 38 and has been struggling with addiction (drugs and alcohol) for about 20 years.

Our family could no longer deal with him stealing and fighting with us so I am pretty much the only one who has any contact with him. What should/can I do?!

I don’t know what advice to give her! The fiance is a nice girl, this is her first child. I am really worried about her and the baby!!

I know you care about your cousin, but he needs help right now and he won’t get it until he realizes he needs it. You should tell her to move out, or back home with her family. Neither she or the baby needs that in their lives right now. Hopefully, it will be enough for him to seek help. Good luck.
