Here are my possibilities…1.) the driver did it intentionally; 2.) the driver was drunk/on drugs; 3.) the driver tried to stop but couldn’t for some reason; or 4.) the driver didn’t know that the road ended.

The driver was from out of town… traveling on an unfamiliar highway. He was in the far left HOV lane. I-75 at that point exits onto the Northside Drive exit, which dead ends perpendicular to the exit ramp. You must trun right onto Northside Drive. The driver didn’t know this and failed to slow down until it was too late.
